My name is Rachel. I'm from a tiny little kinda-sorta-a-city-but-not-quite place called Hong Kong.
I am an avid baker. Curious explorer. Motivated learner. Aspiring photographer. Friend encourager. Family lover. Excited dreamer. Growing teenager. Future homemaker. Semi-minimalist. Experimenting writer. Education enthusiast. Passionate over-explainer. Frequent traveller (but you can never travel too much).
And most of all, Christ follower.
If there is one of the above that you are not particularly excited about, please do not let that hinder you from enjoying everything else over here. After all, that's how the world works. There are always things we don't like. But there are always, always bound to be things we do like.
The dark is often intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. To me, wandering in the dark is something beautiful. You may not know where you're going, but as ironic as this sounds, after a while of adjustment, the dark makes things more clear. People call wandering in the dark "getting lost." I call it losing your usual way and finding a more unexpected one. It's not an easy road. It's terribly unfamiliar. It's full of things that can push you off the path. But keep going.
I love exploring. The world is so big and so full of all sorts of wonders. It deserves to be explored. And as dark as our world is today, the only way to find true, real, genuine light is to sieve everything through the dark.
I hope you stick around, at least for a little bit! And I sincerely hope this little happy place of mine will get you at least one step closer to knowing the world.
Love,
Rachel.
